Lara Rogers

I am a passionate educator with experience in teaching English Language & Literature and Visual Arts across Grades 8 - 12. I too, am an outgoing, reliable and trustworthy young woman who takes initiative and is not put off by a challenge, and am adept at creating powerful curriculum resources in accordance with international education standards.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching middle and high school learners; I have come to realise just how fundamentally important these years are in helping mould a child into the adult they will soon become and the lessons learned during this time aids and equips their development of self-identity, integrity and working in teams. That is why I would love to be considered for this role. I believe that I can allow learners to constructively navigate their middle school years, whilst appropriately scaffolding a learning environment that champions personal growth, teamwork and creativity that fosters a deep respect for themselves and others.

As a South African, I have an acute awareness of being educated and working cohesively in situations filled with racial diversity, multilingualism and multiculturalism and I have seen first-hand, just how powerful it can be when people from different walks of life share their experiences and knowledge to create a more tolerant, open-minded and ultimately, a more intelligent world. I would love nothing more than to add to the cultural diversity of your teaching cohort; my passion for teaching and my experiences from teaching at a top African private school will be most useful.

I love interacting and engaging with people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds and I have the ability to fit in and become valuable in a wide variety of situations and professional environments. I face life with a "can-do" attitude and believe that showing respect and kindness to all goes a very long way.
