• Real-time communication: Built a real-time streaming system with native WebSockets to send AI response chunks, featuring message recovery via Redis Pub/Sub, automatic reconnection, and synchronization with Celery, ensuring consistent behaviour across iOS, Android, and web.
• Multi-AI integration: Designed the architecture of a unified backend orchestrating Gemini, OpenAI and DeepSeek for document understanding, quiz generation, and real-time math tutoring. Implemented robust error handling and request throttling for high availability and cost-efficient token usage.
• Document processing pipeline: Built a serverless-like pipeline to extract and process user-uploaded documents from cloud object storage, handling concurrent requests efficiently. Ensured data integrity and prevented duplicate operations through careful database design.
• Cross-platform client & monetisation: Developed a fully responsive frontend with Expo, using a single codebase across web, iOS and Android.
