Sobre mí
I'm a Civil Engineering graduate from the Technical University of Mombasa, with experience in structural design, reinforcement steel works, site supervision, and construction quality assurance. I've worked on live construction sites, supervising substructure works, verifying structural elements against approved drawings, coordinating artisans and steel fixers, and managing material requisitions. On a residential mansion project in Homa Bay, I got involved in the design of the reinforcement schedules, supervised the steel fixing works and setting out of the concrete structures.
I know that a refinery and infrastructure project environment demands accuracy, discipline, safety compliance, and trust. I'm available immediately, willing to relocate to Lamu, and ready to contribute to the Lamu Project.
Experiencia
Structural Design & Site Supervision - Vaghjiyani Enterprise Limited - Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County
(2026-06 - 2026-08)
3-Bedroom Residential Mansion project
- With thorough consultation and approvals I designed the full structural reinforcement system for the project and produced detailed reinforcement BOQs specifying bar sizes, spacing, laps, and bend lengths for steel fixers to work from.
- Supervised steel fixing works on site, verifying that every reinforcement bar was correctly placed, tied, and positioned to specification before concrete was poured.
- Managed material requisitions for reinforcement steel, coordinating deliveries from suppliers and cross-checking quantities against the BOQ to eliminate waste and shortages.
- Supervised all substructure construction works end to end that is excavation, blinding, footing construction, masonry walls, and plinth beam therefore verifying compliance with approved structural drawings at every stage.
- Produced professional AutoCAD structural drawing sheets at 1:100 scale and prepared concrete mix calculations and brick quantity schedules used directly on site.
Site Supervision Attaché - Boma Yangu Affordable Housing Programme (Government of Kenya) - Nyali, Mombasa

- Monitored workmanship quality and site safety compliance, coordinated artisans and subcontractors, and ensured all structural works matched approved drawings.
- Tracked materials and labour, prepared daily site reports, and supported procurement planning.
Student Attaché - Coastal Material Testing & Research Division (MTRD) - Mombasa
(2024-01 - 2024-12)
Construction Material Testing & QA - Industrial Attachment
- Conducted concrete compressive strength tests, slump tests, CBR, Proctor compaction, and aggregate grading to KeNHA and ASTM standards therefore understanding how material quality directly affects structural integrity.
- Maintained test logs, prepared technical reports, and flagged non-conformances for corrective action.
Field Supervisor - Kenya Sugar Board (KSB) - Kobodo Ward, Homa Bay County
(2026-05 - 2026-05)
Structured Operations
- Led a team of field enumerators across the polling station over two weeks, coordinating and managing personnel, and ensuring over 187 field activities were completed accurately and on time this was my first time leading people under pressure.
- Used smartphone with KSB software for digital data capture, verifying all entries for completeness and accuracy before submission.
- Ran daily briefings with the team, addressing data quality issues in real time and adapting plans when field conditions changed.
- Compiled structured reports for county-level supervisors for further action.
