I am writing to introduce myself and share my background in Sound and Music Technology, Electronics Engineering and Quality Assurance. I am a recent graduate with an International Master's degree in Sound and Music Computing from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and I hold a Telecommunications Bachelor's degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
I have gained valuable experience in the field of electronics engineering through my past role as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Ecler. At Ecler, I was responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured equipment through thorough testing and designing and developing testing baseboards and test benches for new prototypes, with a focus on audio analog circuits.
I have experience as a Junior Test Consultant at Sogeti where I designed and implemented test automation software for the front-end of web pages, ensuring the quality and functionality of the web pages through automated testing.
I have also held a leadership role as an Engineer Practice at SOC ENERGY, where I was in charge of a team of 12 technicians. I was responsible for managing the productivity and effectiveness of the technicians, monitoring their daily itinerary, and ensuring that they had the necessary materials and tools to complete their tasks.
My native languages are Catalan and Spanish, and I have an excellent level of English proficiency, as demonstrated by my advanced certificate exam and an international master's degree. I am confident in my ability to communicate effectively and work well in an international setting.
I am eager to share my knowledge and experience with others and am always open to learning new skills and taking on new challenges. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Miquel Royo.
In my role as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Ecler, I honed my skills in the field of electronic engineering, particularly in the area of analog circuits. I was responsible for testing the quality of manufactured equipment and developing testing baseboards and test benches for new prototypes. My focus on audio analog circuits allowed me to deepen my understanding of this specific aspect of electronic engineering and develop a strong foundation in the design, testing, and implementation of analog circuits.
This experience has provided me with a thorough understanding of the importance of thorough testing and debugging in the development of high-quality, reliable electronics products.
During my Master's program, I had the opportunity to delve deep into the world of sound and music technology. I gained expertise in various areas such as musicology, music applications, interface design, computational creativity, music perception and cognition, music information retrieval, and more. I also developed technical skills by using tools such as Python, PyTorch, Wekinator, Pure Data, Musescore, Arduino, JUCE, LaTeX and others.
My Master's thesis was focused on simulating nonlinear analog circuitry using neural networks, which provided me with a hands-on introduction to this topic and fueled my passion for further exploring this field.
My Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications equipped me with a strong foundation in signal processing and communications. This knowledge has been instrumental in my understanding of the complexities involved in electronic engineering and has been a great asset to my work in this field. I believe that my educational background, combined with my practical experience, makes me a strong candidate for any role related to electronics engineering.
