From January 2022 on I am Medical Science Liaison COVID-19 on behalf of GILEAD Sciences at IQVIA, covering Madrid, Basque Country, Cantabria, Andalusia, Canary Islands, Levante and Murcia. I have focus on key opinion leaders (KOLs) managing Covid-19 of the following specialties: infectious diseases, internal medicine, pneumology, emergencies, Intensive Care Unit, hematology, nephrology, rheumatology, geriatrics and oncology.
I have built trust-based relationships with HCPs, based on scientific information exchange and its adaptation to their clinical practice. I have led project at local and regional levels, both externally and internally.
I am a Post-doctoral Fellow with broad experience in basic and clinical research in Infectious Diseases, mainly in the HIV infection field. My academic training and research experience have provided me with an excellent background in multiple biological disciplines including molecular biology, microbiology, bio- chemistry, and genetics. Likewise, I have done a three-years fellowship at the “Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa” (CBM) in Madrid (Spain) under the direct supervision of Dr. Jose María Requena where my research focused on the regulation of transcription in Leishmania, and I gained expertise in the biochemical characterization of proteins and the latest cloning and sequencing techniques. As a predoctoral student with Dr.
Guillén and Dr.
Hernández-Novoa at Hospital Ramón y Cajal, Madrid (Spain), both with an extensive record for training predoctoral fellows, my research focused on the field of HIV-1 treatment intensification and the effect on latent memory CD4 T cell viral reservoir and residual viremia. I have worked twelve years with Dr.
Guillén, where I acquired proficiency in HIV related research. I have worked as collaborating investigator in 15 research projects and coordinator in 5 Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials. I have been involved in 12 competitive public funded research projects.
