Sara Gañan

At university I studied German, English, French and translation, developing a strong interest in the latter. This allowed me not only to learn the languages themselves, but also to improve my communication skills, both oral and written.

During my studies I worked as a private language tutor and as an English teacher for the company EduQueS, giving extra-curricular lessons to primary school children. Education became my second great passion after translation.

I have a Master's Degree in Audiovisual Translation from ISTRAD and over a year's experience as a translator. I have learned to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Now I would like to continue working in this field, with a great desire to gain experience and new knowledge.

I am a person who is deeply involved in the tasks I undertake, serious and punctual. I also believe that one of the keys to good work is organisation and commitment.

Over a year's experience as a Spanish translator for numerous translation agencies. I currently focus on translating, transcribing and proofreading subtitles (EN>ES) for them. Occasionally I do some voluntary work as a translator and take on projects for direct clients.

Over 5 years of experience as a language teacher giving private lessons (all ages), and at EduQueS Company giving after-school English lessons to primary school children. Through my teaching experience, I have developed my communication and improvisation skills, as well as my patience and perseverance.

I have a Degree in Modern Languages and Literature, where I have studied German, French and translation EN>ES and ES>EN.

I have a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Translation, where I gained experience working with professional translation projects.
