Python Developer – Engineering Simulations

Amertate is building an innovative hybrid wind turbine to make on-site renewable energy affordable and scalable.

• *The Role**

We are seeking a scientific computing expert for a fixed-term role (3–5 months), starting as soon as possible,

to transform mechanical engineering models into a scalable Python simulation and software library that supports the engineering team.

You will convert engineering data into Python libraries that simulate the kinematics, dynamics, and force behaviour of mechanical components, enabling parametric studies, numerical analysis, and visualization.

• *What you’ll do
• Turn mechanical engineering problems into robust Python software
• Build reusable Python libraries from engineering datasets
• Model kinematics and dynamics of mechanical components
• Perform numerical simulations and parametric analyses
• Develop visualization tools to simulate component motion and behaviour
• *You bring
• 5+ years of professional Python experience
• Strong background in engineering, applied mathematics, or similar
• Proven experience in scientific computing and problem-solving
• Experience with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib (or similar)
