Python Backend Developer – AI & AWS

Project Context

As part of our projects in Artificial Intelligence and enterprise software development, we are looking for a Python Backend Developer to contribute to the development of an AI-powered knowledge management platform.

The solution leverages AI agents and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to retrieve and process information from large volumes of enterprise documents.

You will join a technical team working on a defined architecture, with a strong focus on backend development, code quality and reliable cloud-based services.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Implement AI agent workflows and integrations using frameworks such as LangGraph.
• Build secure communication mechanisms between services and AI agents.
• Integrate document retrieval and search capabilities with AWS services.
• Work with AWS technologies such as S3, DynamoDB and Bedrock.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to Docker-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Review and improve AI-generated code to ensure maintainability, performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects and other developers to deliver production-ready solutions.

Key Skills:

• Strong Python development experience, including clean code, asynchronous programming and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication and service-to-service communication.
• Good knowledge of AWS, particularly IAM, S3 and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with GitHub, pull requests, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Ability to work from technical specifications and maintain high code-quality standards.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain or similar AI agent frameworks.
• Understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings and vector databases.
• Familiarity with OpenSearch, AWS Bedrock or LangSmith.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro or GitHub Copilot.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining backend applications in production.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and attention to code quality.
• Ability to work independently within an established technical architecture.
• Interest in AI technologies and willingness to learn new frameworks.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
