Senior Python Developer / Data Engineer
As part of our migration to Google Cloud Platform and the scaling of a pragmatic data stack orchestrated with Airflow, we’re looking for a versatile engineer to help us build a robust, scalable, and maintainable platform.You will work on
- Designing and evolving modern data pipelines (Airflow, DBT…) around Python
- Empowering business and product teams through democratization of data and BI (Metabase)
- Tackling a variety of topics: batch & stream processing, data modeling, monitoring, eco-design…
What we’re looking for
Mindset
- DevOps Culture
- Confident deploying new versions and managing rollouts
- Comfortable collaborating with infra/ops to gain autonomy for deploying and monitoring your own applications
- Cost-aware: choosing the right server, architecture, and configuration for the purpose
- Proficient with Datadog or Sentry for setting up your own monitoring and alerts
- You like to be the first alerted when a job fails
- Able to write post-mortems to help the team grow
- “it works on my machine” is a red flag for you
- Eco-design of digital services (RGESN or similar appreciated)
- Product/Ownership Culture
- Used to leading projects from idea to production (not just following specifications, we want your inputs)
- Able to find the right balance between delivered value and technical perfection
- You can deliver quickly and iterate as a team
- You ask clarifying questions early to avoid misunderstandings
- AI
- We code with Claude Code as a real engineering tool : specs, tests, monitoring & dashboarding using Datadog, code reviews, but we never vibe code
- Communication
- Strong written communication: you share progress and blockers regularly and asynchronously (Slack, docs)
- You’re transparent about what you know and don’t know, and you ask for help when needed
- You are able to work alone on some projects, you know that team work is the key to success
- You offer help to others, even outside your direct responsibilities
- You can lead (or co-lead at first) knowledge sharing sessions to fill gaps you identify
