About The Role

Swan is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join its dynamic tech team for a project duration of several months. The engineering team comprises over 70 professionals dedicated to developing payment systems, customer applications, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, and security solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a demanding IT environment with a reactive architecture, focusing on building scalable, high-performance banking APIs.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing core banking functionalities while ensuring adherence to architectural standards and automated testing protocols. You will collaborate closely with product teams to craft API-driven banking solutions, improve system performance under increasing load, and contribute to the overall resilience and security of Swan’s platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, with a strong focus on back-end systems.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and NodeJS.
• Solid understanding of back-end optimization techniques, including performance tuning, observability, and SQL query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed or microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with a passion for continuous learning and technological innovation.
• Experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka is a plus.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and related technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable banking APIs in collaboration with product teams.
• Implement performance improvements and optimize database queries to handle growing transaction loads.
• Ensure compliance with architectural standards, security protocols, and automated testing practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation efforts to uphold quality standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate best practices into the engineering workflow.
