About The Role We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our SDM (Supplier Data Manager) team, responsible for the core data pipeline that powers the Akeneo Product Cloud. This role involves developing and deploying features that transform large, complex, and industry-specific supplier data into trusted, high-quality product catalogues.
You will work across the full stack, contributing to both backend data-processing pipelines and frontend interfaces built with TypeScript and React. Your work will directly impact how efficiently suppliers' data is onboarded, classified, enriched, and verified, ultimately enabling our clients to get their products to market faster and more accurately. As you grow in this role, you will take ownership of your projects from development through deployment and support, with opportunities to advance into senior engineering responsibilities.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participate in customer discovery, and help shape the future of our platform in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, PHP, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with full-stack development, including backend data pipelines and frontend frameworks
- Ability to reason about system design and scalability
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in data processing is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within a team environment
- Prior experience with large-scale data processing or product information management is advantageous
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and ship end-to-end features for the SDM platform, including backend data pipelines and frontend interfaces
- Enhance the reliability and scalability of data processing pipelines that convert messy supplier data into high-quality catalogues
- Implement deterministic and AI-driven methods for data extraction, classification, validation, and enrichment
- Own the quality and performance of your code, including monitoring and support in production environments
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team discussions to maintain high engineering standards
- Engage in customer discovery activities to understand user needs and incorporate feedback into product development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration within the wider Product Cloud platform
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and industry best practices
- Contribute to building a diverse and inclusive team environment that fosters innovation and growth
