In the Biology of Spirochetes Unit (Mathieu Picardeau's lab) and under the supervision of Dr. Nadia Benaroudj, I studied the molecular mechanisms of oxidative-stress response in Leptospira.
- Investigated bacterial adaptation to oxidative stress using complementary transcriptomic and phenotypic approaches.
- Designed and performed experiments using mutant strains targeting antioxidant enzymes and transcriptional regulators.
- Managed 2 multidisciplinary research projects, including experimental design, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript writing, and scientific dissemination.
- Supervised and mentored 5 Bachelor's and Master's students, training them in experimental procedures and laboratory safety practices, and guiding them from daily experimental work to report writing and oral presentation preparation.
- Delivered 5 oral presentations and 6 poster presentations at local and international conferences and seminars, including the Gordon Research Conference (USA), EMBL Symposium (Germany), and Microb'UP (Paris), with experience in adapting scientific content to presentation formats ranging from 5 to 45 minutes.
