Dear sir/madam,
I am Raphael Nadalie, currently enrolled at Excelia Business School in La Rochelle, France. I would like to find an internship with a duration of 3 months starting in May in Madrid. I am in the program BBA (Bachelor Business Administration) which is a program that offers business management courses as well as lots of international exposure.
I am applying for an internship at your company, as said on your website. I have provided all the necessary documents that were mentioned on your website.
Through the course of my life, I have wanted to succeed at everything that comes my way. I have done that by being interested in learning new things, and through the resiliency and determination I have acquired from sports and past jobs. This position is very interesting to be because I want to work in sales in a multicultural environment.
By growing up around different cultures, I have always been able to communicate with other people and been able to listen to their different point of views. Sales is a domain that has gripped my curiosity due to the clever techniques used and the competitiveness that is needed. I’ve always wanted to work in this industry because I know it is my passion, giving me an even bigger drive to work as well as I can.
I have a highly competitive nature to me which I have used to my advantage in my life when playing high level club football.
For most of my young life, I have had to balance school and sports which has taught me the importance of time management. During high school, I was playing for two clubs at once while holding a 4.0 GPA. I was a student athlete, going to practice every day, learning determination and how to organize my hefty schedule.
With the Business Management courses offered at Excelia, I have been able to gain valuable problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills that I am keen on using in an innovative work environment. I am originally from Bordeaux, France, but by living 10 of my adolescent years (8-18) in Napa Valley, California, I have learned how to adapt to new environments, and I have gained a better perspective of the world around me. I learned the basics of Spanish through the big Hispanic community there.
I would often go to my Mexican friends’ houses and would have to communicate in Spanish while also learning about their rich culture.
Last year, I went on a humanitarian mission for 3 months in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. During this time, I helped kids who lived in extreme poverty with schoolwork, and I did lots of activities with them. This first-hand experience opened my eyes to the real world and showed me extreme levels of poverty. From this experience, however, I greatly improved my Spanish to the point where I can have conversations with just about anyone and can use it for work.
I know that I have a lot to learn, and I am excited to develop my soft skills which can help me long term when I switch to managerial roles. I hope you can consider this application as I am very motivated to work in your company.
Sincerely,
