Requirements
Must have:
- We are looking for experience in one or more of the following areas: mathematical analysis or modelling, numerical simulation, data science and machine learning, geospatial data or geographical information systems (GIS), software development, Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink, complex systems engineering, artificial intelligence, or advanced analytics.
- We ideally want a numerate degree or postgraduate qualification in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- We require applicants to be sole British Citizens or dual nationals with British Citizenship due to security requirements.
- We require candidates to be willing and able to undergo security clearance checks to SC level.
- We are seeking someone with a strong interest in mathematics, modelling, machine learning, and solving complex engineering problems.
- We value a technically minded, rigorous, and quality-focused approach to engineering development.
Responsibilities:
- We design, develop, and test mathematical algorithms.
- We work with MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
- We support numerical modelling and simulation activities.
- We collaborate with software and systems engineering teams.
- We interpret technical specifications and requirements.
- We support algorithm implementation and integration.
- We contribute to continuous improvement and technical innovation.
- We apply rigorous engineering and quality standards throughout development.
