Algorithm Software Engineer
HaystackJob description
We're working with a pioneering deep-tech innovator specializing in autonomous navigation and advanced sensor fusion on this exciting opportunity.
Are you a C# expert with a passion for high-level mathematics and complex problem-solving? We are looking for an Algorithm Software Engineer to bridge the gap between theoretical physics and high-performance software, developing the "brains" behind next-generation autonomous systems. You will utilize advanced 3D vector math and numerical methods to build reliable, real-world applications within a research-driven environment.
- *The Role
- Design and implement sophisticated mathematical and scientific algorithms using C# within a high-performance environment.
- Translate complex theoretical models and research papers into efficient, production-ready software components.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to optimize sensor fusion and inertial navigation systems.
- Drive the technical direction of algorithm-based projects, ensuring high-quality output for drone technology or robotics applications.
- Utilize MATLAB for simulation, modeling, and data analysis to validate algorithmic performance before deployment.
- *What You'll Need
- Exceptional commercial experience in C# software development, specifically focused on technical or scientific engineering applications.
- A Master’s or PhD in a heavy STEM subject such as Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
- Mastery of 3D vector mathematics, spatial calculations, and complex numerical methods.
- Knowledge of Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) or Sensor Fusion (Kalman filtering) is highly desirable.
- A proven track record of solving "impossible" technical problems through innovative software engineering and logical reasoning.
- *What's On Offer
- Competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
- Flexible hybrid working model balancing remote work with 2 days onsite in a state-of-the-art facility.
- The chance to work on high-impact projects in robotics and autonomous systems.
- Clear career progression within a rapidly scaling, innovation-led technology organization.
