Android Cuttlefish Platform Engineer - Remote

We are looking for an experienced Android Cuttlefish Platform Engineer on a contract basis with experience in Android platform engineering, AOSP, Linux virtualisation and cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on building, scaling and automating Android virtual device environments for development, testing and validation.

Key Skills:-

• Strong 5+ years of hands-on experience with Android Cuttlefish, AOSP, Android Emulator and Android architecture.
• Expertise in Linux, KVM, QEMU, crosvm and VirtIO virtualisation technologies.
• Design, deploy and scale Android Cuttlefish device farms, supporting thousands of virtual instances.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with AOSP builds, customisation, HAL, Soong, Blueprint and Make.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Bash/Shell scripting, with Go or Rust desirable.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Integrate automated regression, compatibility, performance and Android platform testing frameworks.
• Strong debugging skills using ADB, Android logs, performance monitoring and WebRTC troubleshooting.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Terraform, Ansible and observability tools is advantageous.
