Application Developer - Java/SQL

Requirements

Must have:

- Java / JBoss / J2EE - SQL Server 2022 - SQL Scripting - IBM Cognos (nice to have) - Linux (nice to have) - VMWare (nice to have)

Responsibilities:

- Develop, test, and deploy software applications tailored to organisational needs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse technical requirements - Ensure the maintenance and optimisation of existing software systems - Provide technical support and troubleshoot application issues as needed - Document software development processes and maintain accurate records - Contribute to the design and architecture of new application solutions - Implement security best practices within all software developments - Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to the public sector

We are a client in the Public Sector looking to expand our team with an Application Developer. This role can be performed mostly remotely, with occasional travel to our head office in Manchester.
