AWS Developer - Belfast

Requirements

Must have:

- 3 years of backend engineering experience using a high-level language (ideally Golang and/or Java) - Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Strong understanding of distributed systems and data-intensive applications - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices - Familiarity with microservices architecture - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and deploy backend services across the full project lifecycle (build, deploy, monitor, maintain) - Analyse and optimise performance and reliability of backend systems (primarily Golang / Java) - Contribute to system architecture, including capacity planning and defining SLOs - Build and maintain scalable, data-intensive systems (databases, messaging systems, event-driven architectures) - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Frontend, DevOps, and Product - Participate in design discussions and conduct code reviews to ensure engineering excellence
