Requirements
Must have:
- We require an outstanding record of academic achievement, including at least a 2.1 in Mathematics or a similar STEM discipline from a top-tier university.
- We expect strong A-level results.
- We need advanced C# .NET programming skills, including .NET Core; we will also consider candidates with Java, Python, or C++ backgrounds if they are happy to work in C# going forward.
- We require strong knowledge of SQL databases.
- We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in finance or trading, ideally with commercial experience, though personal projects will also be considered.
- We expect a thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals, including OOP, data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
- We value entrepreneurial thinking, business acumen, and the ability to take ownership and lead projects.
- We are looking for collaborative people who enjoy problem solving and sharing ideas.
Responsibilities:
- We will have you integrate mathematical models built by our Investment Quants.
- We will have you develop scalable, performant, and supportable cross-asset applications.
- We will have you work mainly on backend C# .NET and SQL.
- We will have you contribute to APIs, UIs, and internal tools.
- We will have you work within an Agile, collaborative team environment.
- We will have you solve complex technical problems and support ongoing learning and career development as we scale.
Company:
We are a global finance consultancy based in Central Newcastle, where you will work onsite full-time Monday to Friday, with hours from 09:00 to 18:00 and some flexibility.
