CAM Programmer

Requirements

Must have:

- Proficiency in Siemens NX CAM for toolpath generation and programming - Hands-on experience with Vericut simulation software - Strong working knowledge of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centres - Good understanding of G-code and M-code programming principles - Ability to interpret engineering drawings and optimize machining strategies

Responsibilities:

- Generate and program toolpaths using Siemens NX CAM - Perform simulations using Vericut software - Manage and optimize machining processes on CNC machining centres - Read and interpret engineering drawings for effective machining strategies - Ensure compliance with programming principles and industry standards

We are Shorterm Group, seeking an experienced Toolpath Programmer / CAM Programmer to join our well-established engineering team based in South Oxfordshire. This contract role offers a duration of 6-9 months with a competitive rate of £40-£45 per hour, weekly pay, and standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
