We are seeking a Client Manager to manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounts and, ideally, consolidations. The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA preferred) with a strong practice background, capable of reviewing the work of junior team members, delegating tasks effectively, and ensuring quality output.
This position reports directly to senior management and will have semi-senior and junior staff working under their supervision. Offering clear progression, the role is designed to grow into a senior leadership position, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant seeking responsibility, leadership, and career development within a supportive practice environment.
Manage and operate a portfolio of clients, delivering high-end accounts and consolidations.
Prepare accounts and provide support to partners and senior directors, ensuring smooth delivery of client services.
Review the work of junior team members, offering guidance, feedback, and task delegation.
Supervise and collaborate with semi-senior and junior staff.
Report directly to senior management, maintaining strong communication and accountability.
Monitor and manage budgets, recoverability, and billing for your client portfolio to ensure commercial efficiency and profitability.
Contribute to the growth and development of the practice, with progression opportunities into senior leadership roles.
Maintain a solid technical base in practice, ensuring compliance with professional standards and quality expectations.
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a strong practice background.
Proven experience managing client portfolios and preparing accounts.
Solid technical knowledge of high-end accounts and consolidations.
Strong leadership potential, with ambition to progress into a senior management role.
Experience reviewing and supervising the work of junior team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with senior management and team members.
Commercial awareness with experience in managing budgets, work-in-progress, and overseeing billing to ensure profitability.
