WandleComplex Works & Project Surveyor - 12 month FTC - £59,000 per annum - Hybrid working We are looking for a Complex Works & Project Surveyor to join us on a 12 month contract here at Wandle.
To manage, oversee and coordinate complex major repairs projects, working with key stakeholders including consultants, contractors, residents and Wandle staff to bring efficient resolution and effective customer service.
To be a key lead on case/project management, bringing efficient support to the Maintenance Manager in delivering projects on time, working with VFM and commercial oversight and H&S in mind, striving to achieve overall exceptional customer service, in line with our organisational values.
To be a source of experience, knowledge, support and guidance for the Major Repairs Team, including our current pool of surveyors that work within Property Services, contributing to efficient delivery of all workstreams including legal disrepair, empty homes (voids), insurance, damp & mould and other major repairs projects.
Relevant/tangible experience (5 years+) in social housing surveying & property maintenance, including pathological building inspections/investigations, defect diagnosis and remediation, contractor/consultant supervision and project oversight, coordination and delivery.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including CDM, H&S, building regulations, contract administration and commercial awareness.Relevant experience in customer service, communication and engagement showing knowledge and understanding of service delivery requirements within the social housing landscape and the various demographics, vulnerabilities and challenges that arise.
Effective time management, IT & communication skills, understanding of the requirements of good record keeping, auditable processes and procedures to bring strong governance and competency within the service area.
