Role Summary

We are seeking ambitious entry-level Data Analysts to join Hawkroot on a six-month full-time contract based in Manchester (hybrid working).

This role is suited to graduates or early-career professionals who are genuinely interested in developing strong analytical capability within a structured consultancy environment. You will gain exposure to real business datasets, reporting systems and performance frameworks that directly support client decision-making.

You will work closely with experienced analysts and be expected to demonstrate initiative, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail from day one.

High-performing candidates may be considered for a permanent position following successful completion of the contract, subject to performance and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, validate and prepare structured datasets for analysis
  • Perform data analysis using Excel and support SQL-based data extraction
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards using Power BI or similar tools
  • Assist with producing KPI reports and performance summaries
  • Identify trends, patterns and potential optimisation opportunities
  • Support documentation of analytical findings and recommendations
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and reporting integrity

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related analytical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Foundational knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualisation tools
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong numerical reasoning skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines within a hybrid working environment
  • This role is designed for individuals who want to build a solid foundation in data analytics within a performance-focused consultancy setting.

Employment Details

  • Job Type: Full-time (Fixed-Term Contract – 6 Months)
  • Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum (pro rata for 6 months)
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 10:00am to 5:00pm
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days office-based)
  • Location: Manchester, United Kingdom
