Data Engineer

This role involves designing and managing scalable data architecture and pipelines to support reporting, analytics, and digital services. The successful candidate will take ownership of the cloud data environment, ensuring data reliability, security, and performance across the organization.

The Role

• Design and implement scalable cloud-based data storage, structures, and automated ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize database performance while establishing robust data governance, security, and disaster recovery processes.
• Develop data models, semantic layers, and APIs to support business intelligence and core application requirements.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into effective, reliable data solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data flows, architecture decisions, and data dictionaries.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, database design, and performance tuning within modern cloud data platforms.
• Proven experience building automated data pipelines, API integrations, and working with Business Intelligence tools.
• Strong understanding of data security, authentication protocols, and cloud resource governance.
