development Process engineer Role Duration Permanent Location Grangemouth Closing Date 20/03/2026 About The Role Reporting to the Development Team Leader, the post holder will work as part of the INEOS FPS South Technical Team to provide process engineering expertise to activities that support the medium and long term strategy of the business. FPS South assets include the Kinneil Terminal
Engineer or working towards chartered status with experience of oil and gas or chemical industry operations. This experience ideally should be wide ranging and cover some experience of projects, design and operational environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to create relationships with stakeholders and 3rd party specialists.
Strong, demonstrable SHE and process safety leadership within the office and plant environment. Good knowledge of process safety requirements for a hydrocarbon plant. Knowledge of risk assessment and management processes – knowledge of specific tools required and ability to interpret results.
Awareness of human factors influence on process safety. Familiar with of management of change processes. Proficient in the use of MS Office and industry standard process engineering software. Basic knowledge of mechanical, instrument, electrical and control engineering.

Successful applicants will be invited to face to face interview, which will consist of behavioural and technical questions. For some roles the recruitment process may also include technical testing, behaviour questionnaires and/ or a delivering a presentation.
