We're working with a leading managed services and cloud consultancy delivering high-impact digital solutions for high-profile public sector and enterprise clients on this exciting opportunity.

Step into a pivotal role where you will bridge the gap between development and operations for a tech-first consultancy. You will leverage a massive tech stack across both AWS and Azure, driving cloud architecture for critical national projects like the Cabinet Office WordPress contract while shaping the future of the internal DevOps function.

• *The Role
• Lead the design and build of secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for diverse client projects.
• Act as a technical authority for AWS and Azure environments, providing thought leadership on Well-Architected Frameworks and NCSC security principles.
• Drive automation through robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and containerisation with Docker and Amazon ECS/EKS.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate directly with client internal teams to deliver high-performance Linux (Apache/Nginx) and .NET environments.
• Support infrastructure scaling and security hardening, including resolving issues discovered during penetration testing and managing cost optimization via AWS Cost Explorer.
• *What You'll Need
• Extensive commercial experience across AWS (VPC, RDS, EC2, S3, IAM) and Azure (App Services, Front Door, Azure SQL, Networking).
• Proven proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation to automate complex environments.
• Solid background in CI/CD implementation and Linux server administration, alongside experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Strong security mindset with familiarity in NCSC Cloud Security Principles and modern web stacks (WordPress, Magento, or Drupal is a plus).
• Flexibility to participate in an on-call emergency support rota and UK residency for the last 3 years to meet security clearance requirements.
