DevOps Engineer

Working with a large organisation that delivers critical UK public sector programmes, we are looking for an experienced professional to strengthen platform delivery, automation, and secure release capabilities.

The Role

• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable deployments
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated environment provisioning
• Support containerised platforms and orchestration to improve scalability and resilience
• Embed security and compliance controls into engineering workflows (DevSecOps)
• Drive observability improvements across monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Advise engineering teams on DevOps best practices and help remove delivery bottlenecks

What You'll Need

• 5-10+ years in DevOps, systems engineering, or software engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Expertise in containers and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including networking, compute, storage, and security
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
