DevOps Engineer

Requirements

Must have:

- Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Compute Engine.

• Experience with networking and security concepts including VPCs, IAM, Service Perimeters, and Security Command Centre.
• Knowledge of GCP data services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and Firestore.
• Experience with API management tools such as Apigee, API Gateway, or API Endpoints.
• Understanding of modern architectural patterns including microservices and event-driven systems.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
• Proficiency in scripting or development languages such as Python, Node.js, or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation tools, including Cloud Build and Terraform.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and building hardened, production-ready systems.
• Exposure to additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

• Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable deployments.
• Work with containerised environments using Kubernetes and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform.
• Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and highly available.
• Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-native application delivery.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and reliability.
• Apply DevOps best practices across the full software development lifecycle.
