Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience - Minimum of one year of relevant industry experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, platform integration, or a related role - Strong proficiency in Kubernetes configuration and container orchestration techniques - Strong expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar - Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar for infrastructure and application monitoring - Solid understanding of version control systems, preferably Git, and repository management practices - Proven track record of driving automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reliability - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus - Must be a UK sole national and either have or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and improve development efficiency - Configure Kubernetes environments to support scalable and resilient application deployments - Support on-premise and cloud platforms through automation and Infrastructure as Code to ensure consistency, reliability, and maintainability - Implement robust monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of platform services - Manage repository systems and version control to support collaboration and code management - Drive automation initiatives to optimise workflows and reduce manual intervention - Collaborate with the Platform team to ensure alignment between platform capabilities and development team requirements - Provide guidance and oversight to the development team on best practices for using platform offerings effectively - Support platform maintainability, supportability, security, and scalability/performance as the platform evolves - Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance platform capabilities and practices

The role is onsite in Farnborough, with a fully funded 10-week technical training programme delivered remotely before joining the client. This training is designed to equip you with the technical skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to make an immediate impact. The salary is £40,000 per annum, with a planned start date in August 2026.
