Role PurposeThe Document Controller will be responsible for managing all project documentation in alignment with ISO 19650 standards, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility for all stakeholders.
The role requires maintaining confidentiality around sensitive information and providing subject matter expertise on common data environment (CDE) platforms to project teams and subcontractors.
Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret project-specific requirements and configure document review workflows to ensure full compliance with BIM ISO 19650 information management and file-naming standards.
Identify and understand contractual requirements related to document control.
Oversee the accurate management of documentation throughout all project stages—from pre-construction to completion and archiving.
Coordinate and manage multiple review workflows, working closely with design managers, site teams, subcontractors, clients, and external suppliers.Engage with project teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of document control procedures and CDE system processes, delivering training and guidance as required.
Prepare weekly progress reports and collaborate with the design team to ensure timely closure of reviews, RFIs, issues, and related actions.
Provide clear feedback to design and project managers regarding documentation risks or issues.
Conduct routine document audits to ensure accuracy and ongoing compliance.
Work flexibly between site and office locations based on project needs.

Who We're Looking ForEssential Skills and Experience
Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High level of IT literacy, particularly with cloud-based platforms and Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint and Teams).
Knowledge of ISO 19650 file-naming and information management standards.
Experience working with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a determination to deliver tasks to completion.
Previous document control experience within the construction industry.
Working knowledge of BIM Docs and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Understanding of how departmental operations interface with other business functions.
A full, clean driving licence essential.
