Requirements
Must have:
- Strong commercial experience with Kotlin, Java, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
- Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, or Nunjucks.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Experience delivering scalable, high-quality digital solutions.
- Desirable: consultancy, government, or NHS project experience.
- Desirable: knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
- Desirable: knowledge of Helm.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of user-centred software solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver digital services for clients.
- Take ownership of development and deployment pipelines.
- Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Mentor and coach engineers, promoting technical best practice.
- Present solutions and technical progress to stakeholders.
