Full Stack Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We require candidates to hold a current UKIC DV clearance.

• We require candidates to complete BPSS checks before starting.
• We require onsite working in Gloucestershire for 5 days per week; no home working is available.
• We are seeking a Full Stack Developer available for a contract running through to 31/03/2027.
• We require experience with Java, Apache Pig, or Python.
• We are looking for someone who is self-driven and able to work proactively.
• We consider it desirable to have experience in big data analysis and analytics.
• We consider it desirable to have AWS experience.
• We consider it desirable to have geo-related experience.
• We consider it desirable to have experience with HS data movement tooling and practices.
• We consider it desirable to have analytics tooling experience.

Responsibilities:

- We provide direction and guidance within the scrum team.

• We liaise with the Technical Lead.
• We help the scrum team decompose epics and user stories.
• We write clean, secure code using a test-driven approach.
• We create code that is open by default and easy for others to reuse.
• We produce detailed designs.
• We document all work using required standards, methods, and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
• We work with well-understood and emerging technologies and identify appropriate patterns.
• We maintain and develop existing architectural components.
• We participate in agile sprint ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, epic decomposition, demos, and planning sessions.
• We help the wider team understand upcoming features and their impact.

Company:

We are recruiting a Full Stack Developer for a contract role based onsite in Gloucestershire, with no home working. The assignment runs through to 31/03/2027 and is inside IR35. This role requires current UKIC DV clearance and completion of BPSS prior to starting. The day rate is inside IR35, and the successful candidate will join an agile scrum team working closely with the Technical Lead and wider stakeholders to support delivery across modern and emerging technologies.
