Takas is building a student marketplace platform focused on trust, usability, verification-aware systems, and student-specific trading behavior. We are creating a product where mobile experience, backend reliability, and product execution all need to work together at a high level.

We are looking for ambitious junior contributors who are strong enough to support multiple parts of the product and who want meaningful startup experience.

About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Junior Full Stack Contractor with exposure to React Native, Node.js, and ideally Google Cloud.

This is a milestone-based independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried employee role. It is designed for contributors who want to earn through real product contribution tied to company progress.

What You’ll Work On

You may contribute to

React Native feature implementation

Node.js backend support

API integration across app flows onboarding, trust, listing, and messaging-related features product improvements across frontend and backend testing, bug fixing, and implementation support limited cloud/infrastructure support where relevant

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with

working knowledge of React Native and Node.js ability to understand product requirements across frontend and backend layers clear debugging and implementation ability reliable communication comfort handling different kinds of technical tasks ability to contribute with ownership in a startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred but not required

Google Cloud exposure prior startup, contract, or freelance experience

Git/GitHub workflow familiarity understanding of auth flows and backend-mobile interaction product-minded approach to engineering decisions

Compensation Structure

This role is structured around a shared £50,000 contribution-based reward pool rather than salary.

this is not a salaried role this is not £50,000 per person the £50,000 is a total contributor pool the pool is intended to be distributed among team members whose accepted work materially supports company milestone achievement there is no automatic equal split there is no guaranteed payment simply for participation allocation depends on the significance, complexity, quality, and accepted impact of each contributor’s work vesting and payout occur only when the company’s internal milestone and approval conditions are met

The pool is tied to company progress and milestone movement, including user-based milestones such as:

10,000 users

25,000 users

50,000 users

100,000 users

125,000 users

This means the opportunity is best suited to candidates who understand startup-stage risk and prefer contribution-driven upside over fixed compensation.
