- Develop and maintain data ingestion processes and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Design data models and storage solutions for structured and unstructured datasets.
- Contribute to the development of a scalable, cloud-based data platform.
- Transform raw data into reliable datasets for reporting, analytics and AI applications.
- Build interfaces and workflows that make internal tools and data easier to access.
- Work with REST APIs, asynchronous processes and event-driven architectures.
- Implement testing, validation, monitoring and error-handling to improve reliability.
- Investigate technical issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to system design, architecture and decisions around performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions.
- Follow good engineering practices around version control, code reviews, testing and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through software, automation and AI.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Full Stack Engineering, Software Engineering or related development role, ideally with exposure to data platforms.
- Strong Python development skills and experience building production-quality software.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases and complex datasets.
- Experience developing backend services, REST APIs and system integrations.
- Familiarity with frontend development and building user-facing applications or internal tools.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes or data-driven applications.
- Understanding of data modelling and database design.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Exposure to cloud storage and data platform technologies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Apache Spark, dbt or Airflow.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or similar technologies.
- Experience using Git and established software engineering practices.
- Understanding of event-driven systems, streaming or change data capture is beneficial.
- Awareness of data quality, governance and security considerations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
What’s on Offer
- The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a growing technology business.
- A high level of ownership and autonomy in your work.
- Exposure to modern software engineering, data platforms, automation and AI.
- A supportive team environment with opportunities for continuous learning.
