Full Stack Engineer (Java/ReactJS)

Full Stack Engineer (Java / React) | London, 2-3 days onsite | Up to £540p/day Inside IR35 | 6 month contract

I’m working with a global capital markets business that’s modernising its core enterprise platforms, and they need an experienced Full Stack Engineer to help build what comes next.

This is true end-to-end work: Java and Spring Boot microservices on the back end, React and TypeScript on the front, all running in a cloud-native setup.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building scalable, high-performance applications across the full stack
• Building and integrating RESTful APIs between React front ends and backend microservices
• Helping move legacy enterprise platforms onto modern cloud-native architecture
• Owning complex problems end to end, with security built in from the start

What they’re looking for:

• 7+ years in full stack development with strong Java, Spring Boot and React
• Experience in capital markets or similar enterprise-scale financial environments
• Solid SQL and hands-on cloud experience (GCP a bonus)
• A self-starter who’s comfortable working through ambiguity
