This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team working on modern distributed systems, serverless applications, and scalable web platforms. The role offers significant technical ownership and the chance to work across the full software lifecycle, from architecture and development through to production support.
The Role
- Design, build and deliver scalable cloud-native applications.
- Develop backend microservices using Python.
- Build modern user interfaces with React.
- Create and enhance AWS serverless solutions.
- Contribute to architecture, design reviews and engineering best practices.
- Drive performance, reliability, observability and continuous improvement across production systems.
Required Experience
- Strong commercial Python development experience.
- Proven expertise with AWS and serverless architectures.
- Experience building APIs and microservices.
- Strong React development skills.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and modern database technologies.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience working within CI/CD environments.
Desirable Skills
- AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, API Gateway
- FastAPI or Flask
- Terraform or Serverless Framework
- GraphQL, DynamoDB or Redis
- Docker and cloud infrastructure
- SaaS, IoT, telecoms or large-scale platform environments
