• *About The Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Full-Stack JavaScript Developer with expertise in Node.js and Angular to join a critical project supporting a major migration programme for a UK Government department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical services that handle high user volumes, sensitive data, and complex business processes. The successful candidate will be instrumental in frontend modernization efforts, contributing to the development and delivery of large-scale digital platforms. This position is a 6-month contract with potential extensions, offering a competitive daily rate of £400 inside IR35. The role is based in Newcastle with a hybrid working model, combining onsite and remote work to facilitate collaboration and flexibility.

• *Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Angular development, with a solid understanding of frontend architecture and best practices. Proficiency in Node.js and Express for backend development is essential, along with extensive experience working with TypeScript. Candidates should have a proven track record of implementing test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks such as Jest.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, working on large and complex digital platforms, and agile delivery methodologies is also required. Additional skills in containerization (Docker), cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and familiarity with public sector projects are considered advantageous.

• Support and lead the migration of large-scale Angular applications, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption.
