Intermediate Java Developer - Belfast

Requirements

Must have:

- 3 years experience in backend engineering, ideally within a Fintech or high-availability environment - Experience in Java / Spring Boot development, including design patterns, OO design, and refactoring - Strong understanding of REST API design - Experience building fault-tolerant, multi-threaded systems and working with load balancing concepts - Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems focused on performance, scalability, and security - Understand client and partner needs, translating them into high-quality, innovative software solutions - Contribute to all stages of the SDLC - from requirements analysis to release and post-deployment verification - Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure deliverables are technically accurate, testable, and on time - Support deployments to internal test environments and production data centres
