Requirements
Must have:
- NHS experience is essential - Strong, demonstrable Java development experience across complex, enterprise-scale programmes - Solid AWS experience across core services including EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS - Experience working within CI/CD environments using tooling such as GitHub Actions or equivalent - Familiarity with NHS technical standards and compliance frameworks is an advantage - Comfortable working in an Agile delivery environment - Able to work independently and remotely with occasional travel to London
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications across the programme - Build and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS services, following well-architected principles - Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code in line with agreed engineering standards - Collaborate with the Technical Architect and wider engineering team to implement agreed technical patterns and approaches - Participate in code reviews, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement - Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and live environments - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automated testing practices - Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders as required throughout delivery
