Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Java Developer specializing in e-Trading. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on electronic foreign exchange (eFX) trading platforms. You will be part of a dynamic eFX Quantitative Developer team within Global Markets, contributing to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge trading systems. Your work will directly impact trading automation, system performance, and revenue generation. Sitting within the Principal Flow Trading stream, this position provides hands-on ownership of the full development lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation and delivery. The role is based in London with a hybrid working model, offering flexibility to balance office and remote work.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronic trading, particularly in eFX. Proven experience in building low-latency, event-driven algorithmic trading platforms is essential.
Advanced
Java skills are required, with expertise in lock-free programming and low-garbage collection techniques to optimize performance.
Experience working with quantitative teams and implementing algorithmic models is highly valued. Familiarity with messaging protocols such as Aeron, Kafka, FIX, SBE, ITCH, and OUCH is necessary. Knowledge of time-series databases, preferably KDB, and proficiency in Python for analytics tasks are also important.
Additionally, full-stack experience with React for developing trader tools and dashboards is beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in an agile environment.
Develop and enhance a low-latency, high-throughput eFX algorithmic trading platform to meet the evolving needs of global markets. Take ownership of initiatives from end-to-end, including analysis, system design, implementation, and delivery. Design, implement, and back-test pricing and execution strategies to optimize trading performance. Build and maintain analytics tools to monitor model accuracy and platform performance, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the proprietary eTrading framework used across Global Markets. Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts, traders, and technology teams in an agile setting to develop innovative solutions and optimize existing systems. Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability, ensuring the platform remains robust and responsive under high-load conditions. Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices to enhance trading algorithms and infrastructure.
