We are looking for a heavyweight engineer to join a high-calibre team of 50, providing critical maternity cover while driving forward modern software solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This is a high-impact role where you will leverage a modern stack including Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot to build robust financial systems. Working within a tight-knit squad of four software engineers, you'll tackle complex problems, optimize performance, and ensure the reliability of business-critical applications during a pivotal 9-month period.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications using Java and Kotlin to meet complex business requirements.
• Lead the integration of systems within an Agile framework, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless features.
• Drive technical excellence through rigorous testing, debugging, and performance tuning to enhance system reliability.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting within the technology department, ensuring minimal downtime for critical financial services.
• Document architectural designs and updates to ensure long-term maintainability and compliance with strict industry regulatory standards.

• Strong commercial experience with Java and Kotlin development in an enterprise or financial environment.
