As a senior leader, you'll drive technical direction and mentor multiple teams, all while contributing directly to the codebase.

• *The Role
• Lead and mentor 5 Lead Developers, each managing teams of 4 engineers
• Set technical standards, best practices, and architectural direction across multiple teams
• Remain hands-on with Java development, contributing to complex codebases and technical problem-solving
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align engineering delivery with business goals
• Support delivery, performance, and professional development across the engineering function
• *What You'll Need
• Strong hands-on background in Java development and architecture
• Proven experience leading senior developers or leading leaders in a distributed environment
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with practical, day-to-day coding in platforms built with Java, Spring, and Microservices
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, pragmatic leadership style
• Based in the UK and eligible to work in the UK

• Salary: 65,000 to 70,000, depending on experience
