Hyra is hiring on behalf of a digital consultancy seeking multiple Java Developers to support key public sector and enterprise clients. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing engineering team delivering modern, cloud-native applications across complex projects.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
• Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver new features
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support CI/CD processes and containerised deployments

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Java Developer
• Experience working within the Public Sector, Civil Service, or consultancy environments
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with JavaScript for front-end development
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Understanding of agile methodologies and software design principles
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Python experience is advantageous
