Java Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We require strong experience with FX Options.

• We require a background in regulatory compliance.
• We prefer front-office exposure, although strong mid-office or back-office experience is acceptable if the domain alignment is strong.
• We require 10+ years of core Java development experience.
• We require experience building low-latency and high-performance systems.
• We require experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• We require experience with Cassandra and Oracle.
• We require experience with Hazelcast.
• We would value frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• We require candidates who are comfortable working in a fast-paced banking environment.
• We require strong business understanding, particularly around compliance and trading flows.

Responsibilities:

- We will have the successful candidate join our front-office aligned team.

• We will rely on the candidate to support systems within a regulatory and compliance-focused environment.
• We will expect the candidate to work on systems with strong exposure to FX options.
• We will expect the candidate to contribute to low-latency and high-performance Java development.
• We will expect the candidate to support our banking technology environment using Kubernetes or OpenShift, Cassandra, Oracle, and Hazelcast.
• We may also involve the candidate in frontend work using React and TypeScript where needed.
• We will expect the candidate to work effectively in a fast-paced investment banking setting.

Company:

We are a leading investment bank based in Central London, and we are hiring a Senior Java Developer on a 6-month contract. The role is based in Central London with one day per week onsite, and the interview process consists of two stages. You will join a front-office aligned team supporting regulatory and compliance-focused systems with strong exposure to FX options.
