About The Role We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Graduate or Junior Java Developer to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a Java Microservices-based platform that delivers innovative applications to clients worldwide.

You will primarily work with Java as the main programming language, contributing to the development of scalable, reliable, and efficient microservices. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with C#, TypeScript, and React for front-end development, all built on a Kubernetes environment. This role offers a unique chance to grow your technical skills within a collaborative and forward-thinking organization, contributing to projects that have a tangible impact on the financial industry globally.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Java development, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field. Prior exposure to microservices architecture, cloud technologies, or financial sector experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Candidates should demonstrate a passion for technology, problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn and adapt within a fast-paced environment. Commercial experience of 1-3 years is preferred, especially if gained within the financial or technology sectors. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities As a Java Developer, your core responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining microservices within the company's platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet client requirements.

Your tasks will involve writing clean, efficient code, conducting code reviews, and participating in agile development cycles. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of the platform. Additionally, you will have opportunities to contribute to front-end development using C#, TypeScript, and React, as well as gaining experience working within a Kubernetes environment.

Continuous learning and professional development will be encouraged to keep pace with evolving technologies and industry standards.

Benefits The company offers a competitive salary range between £35,000 and £45,000, depending on experience, along with a discretionary bonus. Employees benefit from a flexible hybrid working model, requiring three days in the office and two days remote work, promoting work-life balance.
