Requirements

Must have:

- We require strong Java development experience.

• We require an agile development mindset with experience in TDD, BDD, Continuous Delivery, DevOps practices, and pair programming.
• We require strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• We require a positive, collaborative approach.
• We require experience with core technologies including Java and Spring Boot.
• We require experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Fargate, and SQS/SNS.
• We require experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, JPA, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
• We require experience building REST APIs and working with RabbitMQ.
• We require experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and GitLab.
• We prefer experience with OpenShift, Docker Compose/Swarm, Python, and additional scripting or cloud experience.

Responsibilities:

- We collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.

• We design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software.
• We troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• We develop automated tests including unit, acceptance, and performance testing.
• We support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.
• We contribute to code reviews, planning, and estimation sessions.
• We work closely with DevOps and engineering teams in an agile environment.
• We are involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through to deployment, testing, and support.

We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our agile development team working on complex, high-security software solutions. This is a contract role, outside IR35, offering £450 per day and fully remote working.
