About The Role As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Sanderson, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical software solutions that support national security initiatives. You will be involved in creating innovative products that integrate physical and digital systems, working closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Your expertise will contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and reliable software platforms that address complex challenges in defence and security environments.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full-stack software development, with proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Candidates should demonstrate experience with Java Enterprise development and frameworks such as Spring Boot, as well as front-end frameworks like React, VueJS, or AngularJS. Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies is essential. A keen interest in emerging technologies, coupled with a proactive approach to learning new tools and techniques, is highly valued.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain DV security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and efficient software solutions that meet mission-critical requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and test-driven development principles.
• Translate logical system designs into detailed physical implementations, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Develop and document architectural components, including data ingestion, storage solutions, and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including user researchers and stakeholders, to gather requirements and refine product features.
• Participate actively in Agile methodologies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and backlog grooming.
• Identify suitable design patterns and technologies to optimize system performance and security.
• Integrate APIs and user interface components with existing data stores and service architectures.
• Proactively explore emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities and operational efficiency.
