JavaScript Developer (React)

Salary: Up to £45,000

Location: Predominantly Remote (1 day per fortnight in Oxfordshire office)

We’re working with a growing technology company developing a modern PaaS (Platform as a Service) product used by organisations to manage and optimise key parts of their digital operations.

As the company continues to expand its platform, they’re looking for a Front-End Developer with React experience to join their engineering team.

You’ll be working in a small, collaborative development team, partnering closely with the CTO / Technical Architect to build and enhance modern web applications. Because the team is lean, you’ll have the opportunity to own features end-to-end, contribute to design decisions, and help shape the future of the platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building and maintaining modern front-end applications using React and JavaScript
Developing clean, responsive UI components and user experiences
Collaborating with the CTO and wider team on design and architecture decisions
Writing unit tests and maintaining code quality
Experimenting with new technologies and proof-of-concepts
Contributing to the evolution of the company’s front-end tooling and design patterns

What We’re Looking For

Experience with React and modern JavaScript
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive UI development
Experience with front-end tooling such as Webpack or Babel
Exposure to JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g. Jest)
An interest in UX and building high-quality user interfaces
Someone comfortable working in a small, autonomous development team

Nice to Have

Node.js experience
Cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
Knowledge of NoSQL databases
Experience with microservices or modern deployment practices
