Lead Data Engineer - Python, Databricks, SQL

Requirements

Must have:

- Minimum 2.1 BSc from a top tier university in Computer Science or similar technical/scientific discipline - Minimum A A B grades at A-level - Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience - Deep knowledge of modern data engineering best practices - Experience managing and mentoring other Data Engineers - Collaboration with software engineers and end users of data - Technical expertise with Python, SQL, and Databricks - Experience with Azure (AWS experience also considered) - Excellent communication skills - A collaborative mindset

Responsibilities:

- Manage a small team of Data Engineers - Work closely with front office traders and analysts to define data needs - Ensure data capabilities align with business objectives - Lead ongoing development and operation of the firms data platform - Leverage in-house and third-party data tools for scalable solutions - Analyze and automate data-related processes - Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention - Establish and enforce data standards and quality controls - Ensure integrity, consistency, and reliability of data across the organization - Provide subject matter expertise and develop your team
