Lead Java Backend Engineer

Requirements

Must have:

- Strong experience in Java (11) and Spring Boot - Proven experience in solution architecture - Excellent communication skills, able to influence decisions - Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems - Experience with AWS (preferred), Kubernetes, and containers - Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern deployment practices

Responsibilities:

- Lead key engineering initiatives and introduce modern best practices - Guide backend architecture ensuring high performance, security, and reliability - Support engineers through pair programming and technical guidance - Drive solution architecture and influence major technical and design decisions - Mentor engineers and run design reviews - Foster a culture of continuous improvement - Balance hands-on coding (30-40%) with leadership and strategy (60%)
